The Didactic Centre publishes writings that deal with teacher training and schools in the broadest sense. These include publications that deal specifically with pedagogical measures in schools, publications that deal with the teaching of content from a didactic perspective and publications that explore the fundamental prerequisites for education and teaching in theory and practice.

The following series are distinguished in this context:

• "Contributions to Didactic Reconstruction" series
  The Contributions to Didactic Reconstruction (BzdR) are the works published in a series of publications that follow the research programme of Didactic Reconstruction or closely related concepts. Until 2005 they were edited by Prof. Dr Ulrich Kattmann and from 2006 to 2009 by Prof. Dr Ulrich Kattmann, Prof. Dr Barbara Moschner & Prof. Dr Ilka Parchmann. Since 2010, they have been edited by Prof. Dr Barbara Moschner & Prof. Dr Michael Komorek.
  
  Volumes 1 to 42 of the series "Beiträge zur didaktischen Rekonstruktion" are no longer available.

• Teacher Education in Science,Trainingand Practice series
  With"Teacher Education in Science, Training and Practice", the Didactic Centre founded its own series of publications in 2009, which can be obtained in printed form for a fee or downloaded online free of charge.
  
• The series "Oldenburger Vor-Drucke" is no longer available, it can be viewed in the university library.
