Conference travel
At the University of Oldenburg, student research projects are a key component of many degree programmes. As part of the ‘Strategically Developing Potential’ (PSE) funding scheme under the zukunft.niedersachsen programme, financial support is provided for students to attend national and international conferences and meetings to present their own research findings.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please allow a six-week processing time for your proposal.
Maximum grant amount: €600 within Europe.
Maximum grant amount: €1,200 outside Europe.
Who can be sponsored?
The call is aimed at students (Bachelor, Master, State Examination) of all subjects who present their own research project at a conference (max. 2 students per project). The students must be the first authors of the paper. There is no entitlement to funding.
What is subsidised?
When attending a conference, travel expenses (travel and accommodation costs in accordance with the guidelines of the Lower Saxony Travel Expenses Act) and conference fees are generally reimbursed. Costs for meals or a speaking fee cannot be covered. The maximum grant amount is €600 for travel within Europe and €1,200 for travel outside Europe. The grant is awarded only once per stage of study.
