Travel expenses for students - research expedition
At the University of Oldenburg, student research projects are a key component of many degree programmes. Under the ‘Strategically Developing Potential’ (PSE) funding stream of the zukunft.niedersachsen programme, financial support is provided for students to undertake a research trip.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please allow a six-week processing time for your proposal.
Maximum grant amount: €1,200 within Europe.
Maximum grant amount: €2,400 outside Europe.
Who is eligible for funding?
This call for applications is open to students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, State Examination) from all subjects who wish to undertake a research trip in small groups (at least two students).
Students are eligible for funding once per stage of their studies.
What is funded?
A research trip is defined as a journey undertaken for research purposes involving at least one overnight stay. When undertaking a research trip, travel expenses (travel and accommodation costs in accordance with the guidelines of the Lower Saxony Travel Expenses Act) as well as necessary costs for carrying out the research project (e.g. admission fees or fees for services) will be reimbursed. Meal costs cannot be reimbursed. The maximum grant amount per group is €1,200 for trips within Europe and €2,400 for trips outside Europe.
