Bachelor Low German
Since the 2023/2024 winter semester, the Institute for German Studies at the University of Oldenburg has been offering a Bachelor’s degree in Low German.
If you are planning to undertake a Master’s degree in teacher training, please note the possible combinations of subjects.
Prof. Dr Doreen Brandt is the programme coordinator for the Bachelor’s degree in Low German and is responsible for academic advising.

In the 2026/2027 winter semester , the teacher-training degree programmes ‘Master of Education in Low German for Hauptschule and Realschule’ and ‘Master of Education in Low German for Gymnasium’ will be introduced!
