Research Interests
I am interested in mathematical modelling of various aspects of ecological communities, such as
adaptive strategies or collective phenomena arising from biotic interactions. In my work, I apply
and extend methodology from network theory, dynamical systems, and data analysis.
Current Project
Our project "Interaction networks in phototroph-heterotroph microbial communities" is part of the
Simons Collaboration on Computational Biogeochemical Modeling of Marine Ecosystems (CBIOMES). We
model metabolite-mediated interactions between phototrophs and bacteria and their implications for
community structure and dynamics.
