InfoDay 2018

Information day "Smart - thanks to Computing Science" for prospective students

on 26 January 2018

9:00 - 12:00 a.m.

in the lecture hall centre A14 on the Haarentor campus

The world is getting smart! Computing Science is all around us, making our lives easier. An intelligent energy grid, our talking smartphone and soon self-driving cars on our roads - there are countless examples of how Computing Science is changing our everyday lives or will do so in the near future.

At the University of Oldenburg, you can study Computing Science to learn all the techniques that can be used to build exciting intelligent systems. We are offering you the opportunity to look over our shoulders and find out more about studying Computing Science and Business Informatics at the Student Information Day 2018.

Come to the lecture hall centre (building A14) of the University of Oldenburg at the junction of Uhlhornsweg and Ammerländer Heerstraße on 26 January 2018. We will start at 9 a.m. in lecture hall 2 and present the Computing Science degree programmes. Then various Computing Science departments will present their research areas in short talks and with exhibits. Finally, we will take you on a tour of the campus and show you everything you will encounter during your studies, such as lecture theatres, seminar rooms, the library and the canteen.
