Ricoh MFGs - Windows PC: Notes on the use of a PRINT CARD

You have a print card for the use of Ricoh multifunctional devices, which is used for printing, copying and, if necessary, also for scanning. Often, this print card has a different financial and cost centre than the service card in order to allocate costs to specific items. You may have several print cards. The service card directly assigned to your account can still be used for handling. Please use this card for all your scanning tasks. The scan result is stored on your L-drive (default: storage in the subdirectory 'scans'). There are no costs for scanning, so that in derivation no differentiation between FST and KST is necessary. Copying with the use of a print card is also possible unchanged - costs are charged unchanged with the use of the FST and KST stored on the card.

Notes on printing with the use of a print card

The printer 'FollowMe_Printkarte' is available for the use of the print card. The print card ID, see below, must be assigned to this printer.

You integrate the printer as follows: Click with the right mouse button on the Windows symbol at the bottom left and select "Execute".

Paste \ricohmfg01 .w2kroot.uni-oldenburg.de\FollowMe_PrintCard into the field next to "Open:" and execute it with "OK".

If you are not logged into the domain w2kroot, the window "Windows Security" appears. Enter your user account preceded by w2kroot\ and the password.

The printer installation appears.

To use this printer, set the print card ID in the printer settings by following the steps below.

Call up the device and printer management and click on "Manage" of the FollowMe printer you have just added.

Click on "Printer Settings".

The Printing Preferences window opens.

On the 'General' tab, click the 'Change' button on the 'Job Type' field. The 'Change Job Type' window opens:

In the selection field 'User ID' select the entry 'Create own ID'. Enter the 8-digit print card ID beginning with 1500 in the 'Enter user ID:' field and confirm with 'OK'.
