Clinical training centre
The Clinical Training Centre (KTZ) for human medicine enables students to learn practical clinical skills. This includes the entire spectrum of medical training. Urological and gynaecological examination trainers, birth simulators, resuscitation dummies and defibrillators are available for this purpose. Students also learn basic skills such as taking blood samples, inserting catheters and using ECG and ultrasound equipment. Another focus of the training is communication with patients. There is an acting patient programme for this purpose. In Oldenburg, the training sessions at the KTZ have been an integral part of the medical degree programme from the very beginning.
