Project 4 - Fitting
In the project "Model-based optimisation of individual acoustic hearing aid fitting", methods are being developed and evaluated that can be used to predict the sound pressure at the eardrum on an individual basis. Following the successful validation of the methods developed for closed fittings, the main focus of the Oldenburg and Hanover researchers is now on extending the methods to open fittings and investigating in hearing tests to what extent an optimised equalisation of hearing aids is subjectively assessed as beneficial. To this end, patients with binaural hearing aids compare the presentation via the hearing aids with free-field sound via loudspeakers. The results will be presented at DAGA 2012.
