CIP actually means "Computer Investment Programme". This was a federal programme to set up "computer classrooms" at universities. The Institute of Music operates such a classroom, the "CIP room". It contains eight computers with internet access. The computers have sound cards so that music can also be listened to using headphones with a mini-jack. Basic knowledge of the operating system of the computers used is a prerequisite for use.
Some courses use this room as a workroom. This means that the CIP room is primarily used for teaching purposes. Courses and tutorials have priority over any other use. Otherwise, it is available to all students of the Institute of Music. The room is intended exclusively for the completion of student business, especially at peak times.
