Welcome to the co-operations
The following is an overview of co-operations that the Institute of Music has established and maintained over time:
Ableton (Berlin)
The company Ableton develops software in the field of music production. It is one of the project partners in the joint project "Digitality - Diversity - Producing: Practices of popular music in schools and further education" (DiDiPro), which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Federal Association of Music Teaching (BMU)
The Bundesverband Musikunterricht is one of the project partners of the joint project "Digitalität - Diversität - Producing: Praktiken populärer Musik in Schule und Weiterbildung" (DiDiPro), funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Bundesverband Musikunterricht Landesverband Niedersachsen (BMU Lower Saxony)
The BMU Niedersachsen is one of the project partners of the joint project "Digitality - Diversity - Producing: Practices of popular music in schools and further education" (DiDiPro) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
House for Media Art Oldenburg
As part of the interdisciplinary Master's programme Integrated Media of the Institute of Music and the Institute of Cultural Studies Art-Textile-Media, School III cooperates with the House of Media Art Oldenburg.
Helvetia Rocks (Bern)
Helvetia Rockt is one of the project partners of the joint project "Digitality - Diversity - Producing: Practices of popular music in schools and further education" (DiDiPro) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Jazzclub Alluvium Oldenburg & Musik- und Literaturhaus Wilhelm 13
The Institute of Music maintains a constant co-operation with the Oldenburg jazz club Alluvium and the music and literature house Wilhelm 13 in the form of regular concerts, including the Big Band of the University under the direction of Christian Kappe.
International universities and colleges
There are exchange partnerships (including ERASMUS) with various international universities and colleges. There are also research partnerships with the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence/Pisa, the University of Art and Design Graz and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Klangpol - Network New Music Northwest
Twelve network partners in Oldenburg and Bremen have joined forces under the name klangpol and want to make new music heard. They are convinced that with open ears, new music is basically "audible" to everyone and that there is a scene in the north-west that is lively and diverse, edgy and all the more enticing, indispensable, quirky, shrill, poetic and always surprisingly new and different. The activities of klangpol range from composed music and improvisation to music theatre and sound and media art.

Landesmusikakademie NRW in Heek (LMA NRW)
The LMA NRW is one of the project partners of the joint project "Digitality - Diversity - Producing: Practices of popular music in schools and further education" (DiDiPro) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Lower Saxony State Institute for School Quality Development (NLQ)
The NLQ is one of the project partners of the joint project "Digitality - Diversity - Producing: Practices of popular music in schools and further education" (DiDiPro) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Sophie Drinker Institute
The Sophie Drinker Institute (non-profit limited company) has existed as an independent research institute since 2002 and has been linked to the University of Oldenburg by a cooperation agreement since 2003.
Foundation Lebensräume Ovelgönner Mühle
There have already been co-operations with the Lebensräume Ovelgönner Mühle foundation in previous semesters, which have been experienced as win-win situations for both sides and the aim is therefore to expand this co-operation.
UGO - Friends of Music
The Friends of Music are a group of "music lovers" within the UGO who are interested in the broad spectrum of musical activities in practice, education and research at the Institute of Music. Above all, they support the artistic work of future music educators and music mediators who have an impact on society with their musical expertise and passion. The Friends of Music are regularly informed about current concerts or other musical activities at the Institute and can participate in the development of projects.

The Institute of Music cooperates in teaching and research projects with the following universities, among others: Bremen University of the Arts, University of Münster, University of Lüneburg.
