Description
When a profound loss shatters a person’s life, this change does not stop at the office door. Grief almost always affects the immediate working environment too, presenting teams with sensitive challenges. This often gives rise to uncertainties in day-to-day interactions: What should I say to my grieving colleague? To what extent should I share my own ‘private’ grief? How do we deal with the death of colleagues?
This two-hour workshop offers you a safe and supportive space to explore these sensitive issues together. The workshop is aimed at people who wish to gain greater confidence in dealing with colleagues who are grieving, strengthen their own ability to express themselves, and contribute to an empathetic and supportive working environment. Together, we will explore the balancing act between everyday working life and the grieving process. You will learn how grief affects our experiences and work, and how you can mindfully recognise your own boundaries as well as the resources available within the team. Alongside practical guidance, the focus will be on an open, collegial exchange of experiences.
