What must a digital tool be able to do in order to be used at universities in Lower Saxony?
To answer this question and systematically test digital tools, our colleagues in the InnoTools team have developed a comprehensive catalogue of criteria. From accessibility to user-friendliness, questions are asked of the tools, for example: What technical requirements does the tool fulfil? Which media didactic application scenarios are conceivable? In what form is support available to users? Is the tool financially viable in the long term? What about user data protection?
The criteria were developed through topic-specific research, dialogue with experts from the partner universities and in team workshops. The result is a catalogue of criteria in the form of a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet in which the results of the tool tests are documented. It shows what a tool must be able to do, what it should be able to do and what else would be desirable.
The first test phase will start at the end of June, focussing on audio response tools. Not only the tools, but also the practical suitability and accuracy of the catalogue of criteria will be evaluated and, if necessary, further developed.
Further information about the DLHN InnoTools project and the initial results of the tool tests will be published on the project blog . The team will also be happy to answer any questions and exchange ideas by emailing and .
