Vocational training for a subject-related university entrance qualification
After completing three years of vocational training and after practising this academic appointment for three years, students may begin a degree programme in the corresponding specialisation.
Three-year vocational training plus three years of professional experience
Anyone who has completed a three-year vocational training programme may take up studies in the relevant subject area after practising this academic appointment for three years. Scholarship holders of the federal government's advancement programme only need to provide evidence of two years of professional experience.
The training occupation must be state-recognised and closely related to the degree programme. In the case of a two-subject Bachelor's degree, the first subject must fulfil the subject-related requirement. This requirement must also be observed for a teacher training programme.

In addition, case-by-case decisions based on individual proposals are also possible. If you are of the opinion that your previous professional training is closely related to a degree programme, you can apply for a review at the relevant School via the university's Admissions office. If you are interested, please contact the Admissions office in good time so that your proposal can be reviewed before you start your application.
If you have a university entrance qualification but the subject area of your training does not correspond to the degree programme you are aiming for, you can take the entrance examination (Z examination) to obtain a subject-related university entrance qualification for the desired degree programme.
