The Department of Computing Science in the School of Computing Science, Business Administration, Economics and Law (School II) invites applications for a
W3 Professorship (m/f/d)
in Foundations and Applications of Systems of Cyber-Physical Systems
as soon as possible.
We are looking for a personality with an outstanding international track record and extensive research experience in the following areas:
- Excellent scientific record on design and analysis of Cyber-Physical-Systems (CPS), Systems-of-CPS (SoCPS) and Human-CPS (HCPS)
- Expertise in the design of Human-in-the-Loop Cyber-Physical Systems
- Extensive practical experience in the design of SoCPS in at least one of the application fields: mobility, energy, health
- Excellent command of formal methods and modeling in general, as well as original contributions on the transfer of these to CPS, SoCPS and HCPS
The candidate is expected to have relevant teaching experience and is further expected to participate in teaching bachelor and master courses in computer science in German and English.
Proven experience in the acquisition and execution of third-party funded projects is expected. An integration into the research agenda of the university is expected, in particular through contributions to the university's research center "Human-Cyber-Physical Systems: Safety, Acceptance, Social and Cultural Embeddedness". There are excellent opportunities for networking at the University of Oldenburg for basic and applied research. In addition, the research institute OFFIS offers excellent opportunities in application-oriented research. Candidates should be willing to actively participate in the university's self-administration.
