The Faculty II - Department of Economics at the University of Oldenburg, invites applications (m/f/d) for a doctoral position (salary group E13 TV-L), at 75%, for a period of three years with the possibility of extension. The position is suitable for part-time work.
The position will be based at the Chair of Applied Microeconomics (Prof. Cristian Huse) and is particularly interesting for someone who is striving for a career in academia and looking for a position to develop their skills further.
You will contribute to the agenda of the research group and pursue your own research in Applied Microeconomics, in particular, Industrial Organization, and Environmental Economics. The opportunity for your own academic qualification will be given.
The pre-condition for hiring is a successfully completed Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics, with a focus on applied econometrics. Additional requirements for this position include:
- A solid background in Microeconomics, Applied Econometrics, Environmental Economics, and Industrial Organization, and an interest to develop further in these areas;
- Experience with empirical projects, ideally in Empirical Industrial Organization or Environmental and Energy Economics;
- Extensive knowledge of programming and/or statistical packages (e.g., Python, R, Stata);
- Documented teaching experience relevant to the Chair’s teaching;
- Good command of the English language -- German language skills are an advantage.
