Important notes
Dear colleague,
We look forward to welcoming you and your class/group to the Botanical Garden and the Green School soon. To ensure that your visit runs as smoothly as possible, we would like to draw your attention to a few things:
Before your visit:
- We spend a lot of time outdoors during our activities. Please advise the children/
young people in good time to wear clothing suitable for the weather. In summer, they should also wear sun protection (headgear, sunglasses, sun cream) and drink plenty of fluids. - Please ask the participants about any allergies or
intolerances to insect bites and plants before your visit. - Children/young people do not need to bring anything with them, all materials are available on site.
- If you are running late or would like to speak to someone for any other reason, please call one of the following numbers:
| Birgit Weusmann | Isabelle Plewka | Andrea Lübben |
| 0151-26815451 | 0160-97667693 | (Botanical Garden): |
| Office: 0441-798-3949 | Office: 0441-798-3919 | 0441-798-6900 |
- As the Green School's class activities are not financially supported by the university or any other institution, we charge a fee of €3 per child/young person for a 90-minute class activity. You will receive an invoice by email after your visit.
During the visit:
- Unless otherwise agreed, the meeting point is at the main entrance to the Botanical Garden, where we will meet you and your class/group.
- We would like to start our programme punctually at the agreed time. Please make sure that any meal or toilet break is over by then, or let us know in advance if you would like a break during the course of the class activity.
- Please observe the general rules of behaviour in the Botanical Garden.
- In case of accidents: There is a first aid box in the Green School and a defibrillator in the toilet building (corridor). The emergency number is 112, emergency services will be met at the main entrance. In this case, please contact the Botanical Garden staff immediately!
- The programme is usually carried out by students of the biology teaching programme. Please be lenient if not everything goes one hundred per cent smoothly!
With best regards -
the team of the Green School Oldenburg
