"Back to School" programme
Counselling and support for teachers with foreign teaching qualifications
The "Back to School" programme of the International Office of the University of Vechta supports teachers with a foreign teaching qualification who are seeking recognition of their degree in order to return to their academic appointment in Germany.
In particular, the programme prepares for the so-called adaptation course and supports participants in the adaptation course individually. The adaptation course enables foreign teachers (with a foreign university teaching degree and teaching qualification) to acquire skills that are lacking compared to a German teaching degree (e.g. the second subject) and then work as a fully-fledged teacher at state schools.
