Digital conference "Dilemmas of sustainability"
Digital conference "Dilemmas of sustainability"
As part of the project "Dilemmas of sustainability between evaluation and reflection. Justified criteria and guidelines for sustainability knowledge", a digital conference on "Dilemmas of sustainability" took place at the University of Oldenburg from 9 June 2021 to 11 June 2021.
The conference focussed on the following questions and topics
- Which dilemmas of sustainability become apparent based on which understandings of sustainability in and between different scientific disciplines in the context of research on sustainable development?
- What significance does recognising, understanding and dealing with sustainability dilemmas have for transformative science?
- What role do methodological approaches, epistemic norms and social values play?
- Does the transdisciplinary research approach often used in research on sustainable development, with its inherent normativities, contribute to the formation of dilemmas?
Participation in the conference was free of charge and registration was possible until 31 May 2021.
