Following the successful first virtual graduation ceremony, a second digital farewell took place on 10 December 2021. 103 graduates of the Master of Education programme were given a virtual farewell in a festive setting.

The future teachers for primary, secondary and intermediate schools, grammar schools, special schools and vocational schools were honoured in a virtual ceremony by the Centre for Teacher Training - Didactic Centre and the Examinations Office. Accompanied by families, friends and sometimes even pets, the ceremony was broadcast into the students' living rooms.

Prof Dr Verena Pietzner, Vice President for Studies, Teaching and International Affairs, and Prof Dr Teresa Sansour, Vice Director for Teaching at the DiZ, gave welcoming speeches. Music students Rieka Bente and Mattis Reinders provided the musical backdrop to the ceremony. Sven Rieling from the student body gave a welcome address to his fellow students.
