Farewell/exam ceremony for old teaching posts
On Friday, 18 December 2009, a total of 25 graduates from primary schools, secondary schools and grammar schools received their certificates from Konrad Barth (Lower Saxony State Office for Teacher Training and School Development - NiLS) at the University of Oldenburg. Particularly successful exam papers were honoured by Konrad Barth, Hilbert Meyer and Peter Sehrbrock:
- Antje Blankenburg (LA GHR)
- Malte Gerdes (LA HR German/History)
- Simone Helmers (LA Special Education)
- Carina Schürmann (LA Special Education)
- Marina Schürmann (LA Special Education)
- Michael Topp (LA HR History/AW)
The future teachers were offered a varied programme in the university auditorium with cabaret (singer-songwriter duo Simon & Jan, caretaker Heinz Hellriegel) and music by the jazz ensemble of the University of Oldenburg under the direction of Prof. G. Bernhard F. Mergner.
After words of welcome from diz Director Prof Dr Dietmar von Reeken and the student representatives, student Malte Gerdes also had his say. Prof Dr Ulrich Kattmann gave the speech for the teaching staff on the topic of "Learning is relearning - even after the exam". The university ceremony ended on a cheerful note with a champagne reception. The graduation ceremony was organised by the Didactic Centre (diz), School I - School of Educational and Social Sciences, the student body for teacher training and the Lower Saxony State Office for Teacher Training and School Development.
