Lecture: Seminar | On the topic of "Conceptual Change by Embodiment" Content of the lecture: Fruitful learning and teaching builds on existing ideas. This widely accepted realisation is fundamental, but leaves the question of how to support learning processes open. Over the past two decades, there has been intensive discussion about the extent to which analogies and metaphors can build bridges between everyday ideas and scientific concepts. The lecture will show examples of how ideas can be used and how an analogy can be specifically selected. However, it will also become clear that the use of analogies does not automatically lead to learning success. By analysing ideas and analogies, it will be shown that more is necessary for fruitful teaching than simply linking to everyday ideas: effective learning opportunities require embodiment and reflection. | |

After a more detailed examination of the structure as well as the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study, central development possibilities of the project will be discussed. For example, the further development of the methodological inventory, the construction of the sample or the concretisation of the practical relevance of the study are conceivable here. Analysing an existing research project offers the opportunity to reflect on one's own approach and to discuss upcoming decision-making options. | |
