In times of upheaval with an increasingly individualised society, common values and unifying elements are becoming less important. Instead, differences and divisive factors are becoming more prominent. This development can promote tensions, alienation and fears, as the focus is on what divides us instead of what brings us together. These conditions are naturally reflected in our educational institutions such as schools, study centres and universities. At TOLL 2025, we therefore want to look at how we can actively promote togetherness.

TOLL 2025 aims to create an inspiring space for exchange, reflection and networking - with the common goal of shaping our educational institutions such as schools, study centres and universities as vibrant places of communal interaction for a participatory, appreciative and effective future.

Places where all those involved, such aspupils, students, trainee teachers, teaching staff and lecturers, are seen, feel they belong, participate actively, self-effectively and democratically in design processes, work responsibly and tolerantly as a team and can develop their potential in a trusting relationship.
