The Master's degree in Business Information Systems teaches the approaches that enable graduates to analyse, design, implement and use information systems in organisations and across organisations. As future decision-makers and stakeholders, they should be able to understand the potential benefits of targeted information provision, in particular for the internal and inter-company optimisation and design of information, goods and money flows, and to realise them through the appropriate use of information systems. The degree programme in Business Information Systems is conceptually and methodologically sound and at the same time oriented towards academic appointments and the labour market. The acquisition of problem-solving skills is an important sub-goal of the programme. Concrete products and case studies are used to illustrate and implement approaches. The programme takes account of the fact that information processing strongly influences the strategies, structures, functions and processes of companies and company networks or makes them possible in the first place.
