Topics for Bachelor's and Master's theses
Most theses are offered by the lecturers via Stud.IP under the menu item"Thesis topics". In addition to the available topics, you can also see topics that are already in progress or completed and thus get an idea of what is possible as a Bachelor's or Master's thesis.
Some departments also maintain their own pages with information and/or current thesis topics:
- Data Science
- Digitalised energy systems
- Embedded hardware/software systems
- Development of correct systems
- Energy informatics
- Formal methods
- Computing Science in Education
- Information systems
- Media informatics and multimedia systems
- Microrobotics and control engineering
- Software engineering
- System analysis and optimisation
- System software and distributed systems
- Safety Security Interaction
- Business informatics/VLBA
Final theses outside the DfI
- In the case of theses at OFFIS, experienced OFFIS staff supervise the thesis and, as a rule, a professor from the DfI who specialises in the OFFIS department is responsible for the initial assessment. They are therefore de facto no different from internal theses in the department of the respective professor.
- In the Department of Health Services Research at School VI, the departments of
- Assistance Systems and Medical Technology (Prof Hein)
- Medical Computing Science (NN, unfortunately not currently occupied)
- Artificial Intelligence in Health (AI4Health) (Prof. Strodthoff)
- The JobPortal of the Career Service of the University of Oldenburg also offers (in addition to jobs and internships) final theses in companies. Please note that such an external thesis can only be processed if a professor from the Department has agreed to supervise and review it. The university will support you in making contact with companies.
