Dr Lutz Martin Keppeler
About the person / career
Dr Lutz Martin Keppeler has been a lawyer since 2013, has worked in the Cologne office of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek since 2014 and advises on all matters of data protection law, IT law and telecommunications law. Dr Keppeler qualified as a specialist lawyer for information technology law in 2017 and was appointed equity partner in 2023.
Since the 2018 winter semester, Dr Keppeler has been giving a lecture on data protection law at the TH Cologne. Dr Keppeler works particularly intensively at the interface between technology and law, for example in the areas of IT contract law, IT security law, open source licensing law, data protection law and the currently emerging law of artificial intelligence. He is active in all of these areas of law, both in and out of court, and represents clients before various supervisory authorities (in particular in the areas of data protection law, telecommunications law and IT security law). Dr Keppeler regularly gives lectures on all of these areas and publishes on them in German and English.
