Under the direction of Christian Kappe, central music-making skills for Afro-American music are explained and practised. The jazz ensemble rehearses on Thursdays from 18.00 - 20.00 in the Chamber Music Hall (A11). The current repertoire includes swing classics as well as contemporary jazz and Latin American music. Compositions currently being played include works by Gordon Goodwin, Maria Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Snarky Puppy, Gabriel Perez, Pat Metheny and the Youngblood Brass Band.
