The musical ensemble under the direction of Volker Schindel was started at the request of students in winter semester 19/20 with a great response and huge enthusiasm - but was then brought to an abrupt halt by the pandemic. In winter semester 21/22, the work was continued with vocal coach and singing teacher Markus Hanse and, since winter semester 22/23, with the ambitious student co-director Jonathan Strehle.

Around 35 students rehearse on Mondays from 4 - 6 pm in the auditorium and chamber music hall in A11 towards the goal of a final performance with around three ensemble pieces (including choreography). The programme will be supplemented by a variety of pieces in smaller ensembles, many of which will be developed independently by the students. Guests from other degree programmes are also welcome after consultation with Volker Schindel - as are instrumentalists to accompany the band. Ambitious and advanced or motivated students are welcome to provide their own guidance as part of the various activities (choir, band, choreography).
