About the person
Dr Mareike Junker studied Environmental Sciences at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg (Bachelor) and Sustainability Economics and Management at the University of Oldenburg (Master) with study and research stays at the University of Queensland in Australia and Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. She also obtained the Certified Human Resource Manager qualification from the German Academy of Management (Berlin). Her doctorate entitled "The complex and ambivalent role of the Scrum Master in agile management. An analysis of the (success) critical competence requirements" at the University of Oldenburg at the chair "Organisation and Personnel" with Prof. Dr. Thomas Breisig (available online at: https: //oops.uni-oldenburg.de/7266/).
From 2011, Dr Mareike Junker worked as a project manager in international sustainability management and social responsibility at the Otto Group in Hamburg. In 2012, she moved to the University of Oldenburg as a research assistant. She was initially employed at the chairs of "Corporate Management and Corporate Environmental Policy", "Sales and Marketing" and "Ecological Economics" before moving to the chair of "Organisation and Human Resources".
Dr Mareike Junker currently works in the Dean's Office of the Department of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Oldenburg.
