In addition to the work-related placement and the placement report, the training module also includes participation in an accompanying course. The accompanying course may be attended before, during or after the placement.

The accompanying seminar for module prx108 at the Department of Economics and Law takes place as a three-day block seminar. During the seminar, you will receive introductory information about the training module and its components. The focus then shifts to the topics of the ‘application process’ and ‘application training’, as well as critical reflection on work placements. The content is therefore relevant for both preparation and follow-up, and also provides important information and opportunities for reflection in relation to future work placements and starting your career.

You can find the accompanying courses for the module ‘prx108 Career-Oriented Work Placement’ in Stud.IP under course numbers 2.02.591, 2.02.592, 2.02.593 and 2.02.595, titled ‘Accompanying seminar for the training module prx108 (for students of the Department of WiRe)’. You can register there. Enter, for example, ‘Accompanying seminar for the prx108 training module’ in the search function in Stud.IP. You will then be able to see all the courses on offer and their dates for the relevant semester. The courses are made available centrally in Stud.IP, usually in August for the coming winter semester and in February for the coming summer semester.

Registration for the accompanying course is mandatory. The number of places per accompanying course is limited. You may only register for one of the courses as a participant or for a place on the waiting list.

Active participation in the accompanying course is compulsory. You should therefore set aside the three days of the relevant accompanying course and attend them in order to be able to complete the seminar.
