Internship offers

Information for employers

Would you like to inform our students studying Business Administration with a focus on law, Economics and Sustainability Economics about your opportunities for internships, final-year projects and similar? The University’s career counselling service has set up a platform where you can promote your organisation and your opportunities: Career Portal for Companies

Our Department of Economics and Law also offers you further opportunities, through our Friends of the Department, to network with the University and raise awareness of your organisation as an employer: Friends of the Department of Economics and Law

As an employer, you can also present your organisation as part of the accompanying seminar for the work placement and provide students with valuable tips on applications and selection procedures. We currently offer online discussion sessions for this purpose, which we then make available to students as recordings during the seminars. This means you will reach not only the participants of a single seminar, but those of all seminars in this and future semesters. Please feel free to contact the coordinator of the training module to discuss this exclusive opportunity.

Information for students

You can find the latest vacancies for internships, entry-level roles, temporary jobs and so on, all in one place on the University of Oldenburg’s Career Counselling Service website: Career Portal for Students

You can find further internship opportunities on popular job platforms and career networks. There are also a number of internship search engines and portals – there is now a very wide selection to choose from. If you already know which sector you would like to work in later on, search online to see if there are any specialised search engines or portals for that sector

Take a look at the websites of companies that interest you (e.g. these companies from the region).

You should also make the most of the University of Oldenburg’s annual CareerDay to make direct contact with local companies and benefit from interesting information and talks on applications and careers.

Personal networks are often worth their weight in gold – make the most of your personal contacts (friends, family, etc.). In our latest survey of students, 50 per cent said they secured their work placement through their personal network.
