Freshers’ Week 2026

Autonomous Orienteering Week 2026

A warm welcome to the University of Oldenburg, dear freshers!

We’re here for you as the Autonomous Student Association for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses and as the Autonomous Gay Student Association. Our remit includes providing advice on, for example, allowances for special needs, studying with a disability or chronic illness, support services in and around Oldenburg, trans* support and much more… We also offer you resources, events and opportunities to connect with others, and represent your interests in university policy!

We’d love to get to know you and, of course, give you the chance to find out more about us and what we offer.

To this end, we’d like to invite you to:

On Tuesday, there’ll be coffee, tea and cake in the Autonomous Gay Student Group’s office from 2 pm to 4 pm for all queer students! (including vegan options)

On Wednesday, we’d love to invite you all to brunch! From 10 am, you’ll find us in the AStA lounge with a hearty breakfast! (including vegan and gluten-free options)

Here’s how to find us:
The AStA wing is in the canteen building on the Haarentor campus. We’re behind the stairs and next to the toilets. There’s a clearly visible ‘AStA’ sign above the door – just walk straight into the corridor. You’ll see the lounge straight away. To get to the Gay Rights Office, turn left at the lounge and you’ll spot the rainbow flag.

Of course, we’ll also be at the Information Fair on Monday!
