After more than two decades of dedicated service, we are bidding farewell to our long-standing colleague Dr Carin de Vries as she enters her well-deserved retirement. With her professional profile, her extensive experience and her continuous personal commitment, she has had a lasting impact on the Institute of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation over many years.

Dr de Vries was a reliable and approachable contact person for students in teaching and supervision. She knew how to combine academic perspectives with practical approaches and to guide students in their professional and methodological development with clarity, patience and professionalism. She was also always a valued colleague when working with colleagues: open in her dialogue, diligent in her approach and particularly reliable when working together.

We would like to thank Dr Carin de Vries warmly for her many years of service to the Institute, for her valuable contributions and for the impetus she has provided. We wish her all the best for the new phase of her life - time for rest and relaxation, enjoyment of new opportunities and many inspiring experiences.
