In our teaching, it is important to us to closely link theory and practice. Our courses are based on current scientific findings and at the same time open up the view for concrete fields of action in school, therapy, living, work and leisure. We see teaching as research-led and reflection-orientated: students should work with current scientific literature, develop their own questions and try out methodological and didactic approaches. Through practical formats - such as excursions, case work and project-based work - we aim to promote the transfer of knowledge into practice. Accompanying reflection supports professional attitudes and the further development of key competences.
Our aim is to enable students to act in an evidence-based, responsible and innovative way in special educational contexts - professionally in cooperation with people with disabilities, their relatives and interdisciplinary teams.
