On 21 January 2026, Clemens Hillenbrand and Leon Meier presented a framework for social and emotional learning to the Belgian Minister of Education of the German-speaking Community, developed as the outcome of an externally funded research project.

The presentation focused on a comprehensively elaborated and empirically grounded framework that is intended to be established as a cross-disciplinary and age-spanning guideline within the education system of Belgium’s German-speaking Community. In addition to the Minister of Education, key stakeholders from the Belgian education system attended the event.
