Biography

Prof. Dr. Yvonne Ehrenspeck-Kolasa is a university professor of General Pedagogy at the University of Oldenburg. She studied General and Comparative Literature (AVL), Philosophy and Religious Studies, as well as Art History, Sociology and Educational Science at the Free University of Berlin, where she was awarded her doctorate in 1997 and completed her habilitation in 2003 in the Department of Educational Science and Psychology at the Free University of Berlin. Her main research focuses include historical educational research, philosophy of science, historical epistemology, theoretical and empirical media reception research and media appropriation research, historical anthropology, research into formats for promoting reading and learning using digital devices, learning platforms, wearables and apps in schools, non-formal and informal educational contexts, the design of learning environments using digital media; research into attention and ADHD in the context of digitalisation processes; digitalisation, professionalisation and school development; and transformations of the education system and the academic system in the context of digitalisation processes.
