Notes for authors

Only original works, preferably of a biological-ecological, floristic, faunistic or nature conservation nature, will be included. This should also give those working part-time in one of these fields the opportunity or the impetus to intensify their work.

Manuscripts should be sent to the editorial office (for the attention of Prof Dr Rainer Buchwald, IBU-A1, School V, University of Oldenburg, 26111 Oldenburg; by email to rainer.buchwald@uni-oldenburg.de or detlev.metzing@uni-oldenburg.de).

  • The contributions must be preceded by a short English abstract (max. 1500 characters) and accompanied by a corresponding German summary. The full address of the author must be given at the end.
  • Figures and tables should be submitted on separate sheets in print-ready form or as separate files (figures in *.tif or *.jpg format, do not include graphics in text files (!); tables preferably as *docx, not *doc or *xls files; text in *docx format). Especially when creating tables, the conversion for printing must be taken into account.
  • Landscape formats are to be favoured over portrait formats when producing illustrations.
  • The printing of colour illustrations is possible at the authors' expense.
  • Attach figure and table legends to the end of the manuscript (preferably in a separate file).
  • Formatting, in particular indentations and tables using spaces, tabs, italics or small caps etc. should be avoided.
