Network "SchüVer - Manage grades digitally and more"

David Kuck

This network was set up at the start of the 2021/22 school year. It serves the specific purpose of making work easier through the use of a special grade management programme. SchüVer is based on a programmed Excel file that comprehensively manages data while it is stored securely on your own PC. Grades and other data such as lesson observations, class work calculations, checklists etc. can be managed quickly and easily. The programme carries out the necessary calculations and the data once entered can be displayed, exported and printed in various compact and clear ways. The programme has now been in existence for eight years and has been continuously developed with regard to a growing number of functions. The range of functions in SchüVer is so large that not all functions can be covered in a single training course. This is why this network was founded.

The target group of this network are teachers at secondary levels I and II. It is aimed at beginners who have already gained initial experience with the programme or who have taken part in one of the introductory training courses in co-operation between AS and OFZ and can imagine trying out the programme in the coming school year. The introductory courses lay the foundations for using the SchüVer programme. The focus is on the creation of class portfolios and familiarisation with the grading area.

The network is still open to new participants. The network meetings take place three to four times per school year, focussing on the interests and needs of the participants. Of particular interest to colleagues is the customisation of the grade range to suit their own needs in terms of school type and subject. Good practice examples are exchanged, which gives other participants more security and confidence in the programme. Another focus is the exchange on the use of the course book area.

Participants contribute to the further development of the programme with their individual ideas. In the last school year 2021/22, for example, the grades area was expanded, an ID column was introduced and the entire seating plan area was reprogrammed.

Network "Digital education in the classroom"

Jan-Henning Paul

The aim of the "Digital Education in the Classroom" network is the mutual exchange of content, methods and technical requirements for digitalised learning. The geographical focus of the network's work is East Frisia (districts of Leer, Aurich and Friesland, city of Emden), but also Oldenburg and the district of Ammerland.

By participating in the network, participants gain insights into tried-and-tested teaching ideas and media concepts that are suitable for everyday use. This enables them to gradually implement various aspects of digital education in their own lessons and pass them on to colleagues at their own school. At the same time, the possibilities and limitations of using digital media in schools are discussed. The direction within this network work is organised together with the participants of both network groups.

The network meetings take place three to four times per school year. They are open to other interested parties from school management and teaching staff who would like to work together to create benefits from the network collaboration on the topic of "Digital education in the classroom".

Primary school and all-day network

Birte Kempers

The aim of this network, which was founded in 2019, is to discuss the requirements and opportunities for the design and new development of all-day schools (GTS) in the primary school sector. The direction of the network's work is shaped together with the participants . The following questions form the guiding perspectives:

  • What are the conditions for success for all-day schools in the primary sector?
  • How are these all-day schools developing in our region?

The network currently consists of headteachers and teachers from primary schools that are active in the area of all-day schools. So far, the participants come from the districts of Wesermarsch and Oldenburg as well as the city of Delmenhorst.

The network is open to other interested parties from school management and teaching staff who would like to work together to create benefits from the network collaboration on the topic of "Primary school and all-day school".

Network "Didactic management of secondary schools"

Kathrin Korte

In 2019, the AS was asked to act as moderator for an existing network initiative of various didactic leaders from regional secondary schools. The aim of this inclusion as an AS network is that external moderation supports the quality of internal cooperation and at the same time relieves the participants themselves in their role and participation.

The network currently consists of a closed group of around 10 people who work as didactic leaders at regional secondary schools in Oldenburg and the surrounding area.

The selection of topics and the content orientation are discussed and decided by the participants. The internal exchange and decision-making processes are supported by the discussion moderation. In addition, the moderation by the AS relieves the group by coordinating appointments, preparing the invitations to the network meetings, providing the room, organising the agenda including methodological suggestions for processing and documenting the network results.
