Example timetable for first semester students
Timetable in the first semester - an example
Many first-year students are particularly interested in the question of what their timetable will look like in the first semester. When selecting courses, it makes sense to follow the recommendations from the study plan, as overlaps can only be avoided in the compulsory modules that are to be taken in the same semester according to the study plan.
Even if all modules are compulsory modules in the first semester, the timetable cannot be clearly determined in advance: the lecture timesof the modules are the same for all students in the semester - for thetutorial for a lecture, however, a date must be selected from a set of dates, as these tutorials should take place in small groups of approx. 20-30 people.
Example timetable
The timetable above shows lecture dates, major exercises and examples of possible tutorial dates (grey) for the courses recommended in the first semester (as of winter semester 2024/25).
A special feature is the student colloquium organised by the Department of Computing Science: At this information event, you can take advantage of information on the degree programme, depending on your personal interests and questions, as well as get to know companies relevant to Computing Science in practical presentations, speed dating on job profiles and excursions.
