Expert discussion on 22 April 2010, from 10.00 a.m. at the University of Oldenburg
Lower Saxony is setting out to reorganise its teacher training. As part of this reorganisation, concepts such as professional orientation, the expansion of practical school studies into practical semesters and the interaction between the first and second phases of teacher training play a prominent role.
Two people who are directly involved in the design of practical school studies within the framework of teacher training centres have been invited to take part in an expert discussion on these topics.
Dr Rainer Bodensohn will provide insights into developments in Rhineland-Palatinate, while StD Manfred Rotermund will report on the reorganisation of teacher training in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The aim of the expert discussion is to gain an insight into the paths that North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate are taking in the discussion of the aforementioned concepts. The "look under the bonnet" should make it possible to gain helpful information for the reorganisation of teacher training in Lower Saxony.
The discussion will take place on 22 April from 10.00 a.m. at the University of Oldenburg, the room will be announced shortly.
