The event provided an opportunity and space to develop perspectives for cross-location co-operation and joint didactic research at teacher training universities in Lower Saxony. Following the presentation of the results of the initiative "Strengthening specialised didactics" of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture, didactics experts and educational scientists worked together with representatives of the science administration to generate strategies for collaborative work and co-operation in research. The keynote speaker was Prof Dr Bernd Ralle from TU Dortmund University, who spoke on the topic of increasing the efficiency of subject-specific didactic research.
The conference concluded with a panel discussion in which starting points for strengthening specialised didactics and educational sciences - the necessary tasks, challenges and opportunities - were discussed.
