ProDiD: Study plans summer term 2005-2008
Curriculum from summer semester 2005 to summer semester 2008
The study programme is organised jointly for doctoral candidates in the subject didactics disciplines. Based on basic subject didactic qualifications, the study programme is research-oriented. The research framework of Didactic Reconstruction ensures that both a broad spectrum of suitable subject-didactic research methods are taught and the subject-didactic competences are acquired to be able to work on context-specific problems. The doctoral programme is divided into four study strands, which run regularly through the first five semesters: a) Seminar and lecture on the basics of subject-didactic research b) Seminar and lecture on subject-didactically relevant areas of the related sciences (psychology, pedagogy, linguistics) c) Workshop on research work by doctoral candidates d) Research colloquium on a special topic for exemplary in-depth study (partly with external experts). In the 6th semester, the studies are completed by special overarching forms of courses: a) International didactic workshop b) Interdisciplinary series of lectures (e.g. "Cognitive Sciences") c) Workshop: Documentation and presentation of the results of own research work d) Research colloquium In the 7th semester, supplementary events take place. The courses for a) and b) in semesters 1 to 6 are held in three block sessions on Fridays/Saturdays, supplemented by a tutorial (fortnightly) during the semester - in each case by Lohmann -, those for c) are held as block sessions (2-3 days in total) during the semester break and those for d) are held once a month. This organisation ensures that the courses continuously complement and optimally support the doctoral work to be carried out in parallel, without interrupting it. The workshops are focussed on the progress of the doctoral candidates' work. The participation of external experts in the research colloquium and the international workshop planned for the sixth semester are intended to offer doctoral candidates the opportunity to participate intensively in current discussions in subject-specific didactic science and to compare their own work.
