Instruction

IT security training

Briefings are an elementary component of an IT security strategy. Users are informed about the most important IT security rules and any current IT security incidents and can ask their own questions. Instruction is therefore complementary to the basic rules.

ICBM's IT department offers regular IT security briefings in hybrid form on the third Thursday of every month. These briefings are offered alternately in German and English. The presentation lasts 25 minutes, after which there is room for questions of all kinds.

The dates for 2026 are:

  • 16.04., 14:00, W15 0-023, English
  • 21 May, 09:00, W15 0-023, German
  • 18 June, 14:00, W15 0-023, English
  • 16 July, 09:00, W15 0-023, German
  • 20 Aug, 14:00, W15 0-023, English
  • 17.09., 09:00 a.m., W15 0-023, German
  • 15 Oct, 14:00, W15 0-023, English
  • 19 Nov, 09:00, W15 0-023, German
  • 17 Dec, 14:00, W15 0-023, English

All new employees are required to attend one of the regular IT security training sessions within the first three months at ICBM. All employees are required to attend one of the regular briefings once per calendar year.

"Employees" in this context means employees with an UOL employment contract and students who are completing their thesis at ICBM.
