The aim of this specialisation is to impart knowledge and skills in the development and design of embedded systems for the realisation of new vehicle functions, including the economic and regulatory boundary conditions that determine them. These contribute significantly to the achievement of global social objectives such as mobility, accident reduction and CO2 reduction. This includes design and construction principles for classes of vehicle functions, design, safety and test processes, driver modelling, environment modelling, the necessary modelling and analysis techniques as well as experimental realisations of new vehicle functions. The completion of an industrial internship for the in-depth acquisition of skills in the manufacturing or supplier industry is supported.
Addressed are
System-oriented students interested in learning about the ability to realise new system solutions through the use of embedded systems in the application area of automotive engineering.
Knowledge imparted:
- Economic and regulatory constraints in the development of embedded systems for the realisation of vehicle functions
- Design principles of essential classes of vehicle functions
- Principles of the design of human-machine interaction
- Current design, validation and verification methods for embedded systems, taking into account in particular real-time, safety, security and power consumption
