Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007), "TIERKREIS. 12 Melodien der Sternzeichen" (op. 41, 1974/75) in a scenic version

In the annual project at the Institute of Music at the University of Oldenburg, the participants studied Stockhausen's music and its thematic context in detail and developed possible ways of performing it. In addition, a separate seminar group developed theatrical and visual ideas to complement Stockhausen's music and the musical arrangements. A musical-scenic version of the zodiac with projections and animations gradually emerged, which celebrated its premiere at the LONG NIGHT OF MUSIC in Oldenburg
. Six of the twelve signs of the zodiac were selected for this setting.
