Recognition of modules already completed

Students can apply to the Examinations Office for credit transfer for modules already completed at other universities in Germany and abroad. For this purpose, the form

Recognition of modules from other degree programmes in Germany and abroad

A module worth 6 CP can come from other Master's degree programmes without admission requirements or from the modules offered by the Language Centre. No proposal is required for this.

On proposal, further modules totalling up to 24 CP from other degree programmes can also be taken at other universities in Germany and abroad, provided that they correspond in level to the MSc. Marine Environmental Sciences and complement the qualification according to §2 of the examination regulations in a meaningful way. The Examination Board must confirm the eligibility for recognition before these modules are taken. The proposal to take modules can be submitted informally to the Chair of the Examination Board.

The module "Day excursions" comprises 6 CP, the examination is a seminar paper.
The module comprises the attendance of day excursions (1 CP each)
and/or
the attendance of up to 14 individual events from the ICBM colloquium or the colloquia/seminars of the working groups. If more than 3 CP are achieved through day excursions, the number of events is reduced. Each 5 events correspond to 1 CP.
Attendance of the colloquia/seminars is documented on the module certificate. Students are responsible for the documentation.

Attendance of the colloquia and the seminar "Geochemical Seminar": Either 14 dates can be attended (3 CP) and additionally another course from the module with 3 CP or a total of 28 dates (6 CP) can be attended.
