Since 2008, the North-West German Linguistic Colloquium (NWLK) has provided linguists from the Universities of Bremen and Oldenburg with a platform for academic exchange and networking. The two-day colloquium provides a forum for presenting current research projects and findings, discussing them together and developing new perspectives.

This year, the NWLK will take place on 21 and 22 January 2027 at the University of Oldenburg. We warmly invite anyone interested to attend!

We welcome contributions from all areas of linguistics, which may be presented either as a talk (a 20-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion) or as a poster. We would particularly like to encourage students to present their final-year projects and ongoing research projects.

Anyone wishing to participate with a talk or poster should please submit their abstract ( max. 400 words) by 15 November 2026, specifying the desired format (poster or talk), as a Word document to the following email address: .

Of course, it is also possible to attend as a passive participant without presenting your own contribution. Please register for passive attendance by 30 November 2026 via the email address .

There are no conference fees. Further details will be announced in due course on the conference website and by email.
