Doing research while studying
Research-oriented and research-based learning have become increasingly important in recent years: Students are introduced to resaerch in their studies and receive targeted methodological training to that they can complete their studies actively engaged in research.
A longitudinal research pathway is anchored in the model study programme in Human Medicine, which accompanies students in the various phases of their studies. The aim is to teach students the basic principles and techniques of scientific work, to give them an insight into active research work and to get them excited about research. For students with an interest in neuroscience, there are two English-language, research-oriented master's programmes, Neurocognitive Psychology and Neuroscience, in which independent research is a major focus from the very beginning. A Physics, Technology and Medicine programme with a closely interlinked natural science and clinical curriculum was established in the winter semester of 2017/2018.
