How should higher education institutions respond to the challenges posed by artificial intelligence for the examination system? This is the central question addressed by the newly established HRK task force on ‘Artificial Intelligence & Examinations’.
As part of its think-tank activities, KI-LOTSE brings together recognised experts in task forces to discuss current assessments, opportunities and risks relating to various key topics. “Artificial Intelligence and Assessment” is the first key topic. Amidst the tension between AI-generated content in examination papers, new examination formats, legal frameworks and ensuring the acquisition of skills in academic work, there is a particularly great need for action and guidance on the part of universities.
Two representatives from the „Stabstelle Universitätstrategie - Schwerpunkt Lehre” are participating in the taks force on behalf of the University of Oldenburg: Dr Janine Horn, focusing on legal aspects, and Susanne Schorer, to contribute didactic considerations.
