Modern smartphones make it possible to find out about local conditions virtually anywhere in the world. To avoid a time-consuming search for relevant information, specialised smartphone applications can offer such information specifically for certain user groups. One important user group is, for example, holidaymakers in a holiday region.

The main task of the project is to design and implement a smartphone app for relevant holidaymaker groups in the municipality of Hude. Firstly, an analysis of the target group and their information needs is to be carried out in co-operation with contact persons from the Hude tourism palette. This can include, for example, classic tourist information such as sights, opening hours, admission prices, hiking trails, municipal geochaching routes and so on. If possible, value-added services should be identified and possibly also realised that give the app a certain uniqueness in terms of tourist advertising. Ultimately, the app should then be realised on at least one common platform and its benefits demonstrated.
